The History of the Scarisbrick Family is closely intertwined, not only with that of the Village of Scarisbrick and the surrounding towns and villages, but also with many of the other families with which they came into contact, over the past eight hundred years.
To bring together a comprehensive record of events, surrounding the family during that period, would be a monumental task, by any standard. However, it is my intention to attempt such a task, in due course, (time and health permitting!).
In the meantime, as bits and pieces of information come to my notice, I will create links to other web pages, on this and other web sites, that contain relevant information.
Initially, these entries may not be in any particular order, simply a list of links for you to browse.
As I have already mentioned, it will be a monumental task, sifting through the mountains of information, that exists both on and off the Internet. It goes without saying that any assistance would be more than welcome. Therefore, if you have any information, or know the whereabouts of information, that relates to anything about our Family, please don't hesitate to contact me. I will do my utmost to include all suitable submissions as soon as possible.

Some historical pieces of information that will interest any Family Historian
Ormskirk Church The Village of Scarisbrick in Lancashire, England was, for many hundreds of years, part of the Parish of Ormskirk. As a result, the history of Scarisbrick is closely tied with both the Town of Ormskirk and the Parish that bore it's name. This article is part of the web site devoted to the Stanley Family. However, it makes many references to our own Family and is therefore also essential reading for any member of the Scarisbrick Family.

Webmaster's Note:
This is not an easy book to find, especially online. However, I was able
to purchase a copy, over the counter, from The Ormkirk Book & Art Shop
for around £17.00 a couple of years ago. To the best of my knowledge,
this shop is still not online, but if you are interested in obtaining your own copy, their contact details are as follows:
